In 2012 we inherited a market stall from the Community College in Coffs Harbour. We created a menu based on Ethiopian cuisine and it took off. Before long we were catering events and serving food at festivals up and down the mid-north coast of New South Wales.
The question we were asked most was: When are you going to open a restaurant?
That inspired us to open Mana Chita in a tiny little shop in Coffs Harbour CBD. We operated out of there for 6 years before we had the opportunity to move to the vibrant Jetty Strip in Harbour Drive. In June 2019 we made the move and haven’t looked back.
